Excuse my French, but I’m in France

My first trip to Paris was an absolute dream. Even though it was a short trip (3 full days) it was completely worth it flying the nonstop from DFW. We paid $500 RT in economy but lucked out and had a full row to ourselves both coming and going! Since this was my first time in Paris, the whole trip was definitely centered around the “must see” “must do” attractions and I’m excited to relive this amazing trip in this post. Where we stayed Monsieur George Hotel & Spa We were completely obsessed with our hotel. Located just a block …

Maui (A second Honeymoon)

How we got there Hawaii was an obvious choice for our second honeymoon since our wedding was in Sonoma, California. A quick 5 hour flight and a 3 hour time difference and we were there! We flew Southwest Airlines from OAK – OGG using our companion pass and points (everywhere I fly, Adam flies free) but we chose to fly American Airlines ($150 each) back to LAX because they offer a redeye flight. This allowed us to maximize our last day (our flight didn’t leave until 10:45pm) without having to pay for another night stay. We landed in LAX at …

Aruba Ariba

How to get there Aruba is a gorgeous little island off the coast of Venezuela. Owned and governed by the Dutch, it’s quite easy to get to with nonstop flights from multiple cities in the US and Amsterdam. I flew one way on Spirit Airways from Dallas – Aruba stopping over in Fort Lauderdale for a whopping $75. Now, if you don’t already know, Spirit is a budget airline and prides themselves with offering base fares. So when you see a cheap fair on Spirit while searching google flights you need to remember that is just for your seat and …

Did you know you can travel to and from all United States territories without clearing customs or passport control. This includes Puerto Rico, USVI, Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam. Furthermore, the new rules that take place beginning January 26, 2021 that require you to provide a negative COVID-19 test to enter into the USA doesn’t apply when …

2 days in Boston

So many amazing things to see and do in Boston, Massachusetts. Adam and I traveled there last fall and it was so incredibly pretty! The leaves were turning and the weather was actually cold. I was so excited to get to wear my cute sweaters and jackets that hardly get used here in Texas. A lot of Adam’s family actually lives in Boston and was the main reason we wanted to go visit! This was great because we had our own personal guides for the city and intel on the best spots for local food! Where we stayed After a …

St. Kitts & Nevis

I try very hard to visit the Caribbean Sea once a year. Whether that’s going to the Bahamas for the 100th time (I love the Bahamas) or heading further south to explore a new country! I love the Caribbean so much because it is easy to get to from the states, the water is crystal clear and I love all the different island cultures! October 2019 we were once again headed to the Caribbean, but this time it was to the gorgeous islands of St. Kitts and Nevis. To be honest, I didn’t know a whole lot about these islands …

Getting a tan in Fiji

Our final leg of this amazing trip was FIJI! I cut a day off both Australia and New Zealand to be able to squeeze in Fiji. I mean why not! We were in the same time zone and it was only a three hour flight away! Adam surprisingly agreed and we were off! We flew Air New Zealand to Fiji and let me tell you our experience was quite different the second time around. First off let me start by saying I DO NOT CHECK BAGS – EVER. I pack in a carry-on everywhere I go. Even to Australia. It’s …

Turning 30 in New Zealand

The second leg of our trip was off to Auckland, New Zealand. We flew from Sydney to Aukland on Air New Zealand and we chose the late flight to maximize our time! We stayed at a nearby airport hotel the first night called Naumi Auckland Airport Hotel. It was super affordable and very nice! For the rest of our time in New Zealand we stayed in an Airbnb a little outside the city. We were so impressed by the house and the view but I will say if we had to do it again we might chose to stay a …

Let’s spend 72 hours in Ireland☘️

A lot of people may think that traveling with their mother might be lame and most of her friends are always so surprised that her 29 year old daughter wants to travel across the world with her mother and PAY her own way but we are special. This isn’t our first mother-daughter trip either. We love traveling to new places and throwing a run in the mix makes it that much more fun! I started running back in 2012. It’s been an amazing outlet and I am so thankful it’s something I can share with my mom.  Flying to Dublin …

Getting on a plane – all the things I need to board my flight

I would say I am a seasoned traveler. I’ve been traveling light with my bags packed my whole life, always ready to pick up and go somewhere new. Over the years I have perfected my list of top essential items that I HAVE to have to board a plane. 1. Carry-on luggage Anyone that knows me knows I do NOT check a bag when I fly. Not even when were flew to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji last year. I pack everything in a carry-on! I am not kidding when I say I travel light. My absolute favorite bag is …
